Alberta Health is reporting a new active case of the COVID-19 virus in the Claresholm area.
In an update late last week, the geospatial map posted by Alberta Health of COVID-19 positive cases indicated the Municipal District of Willow Creek has three active cases and eight recovered cases of COVID-19.
Clicking on the local geographic area shows there is one active case of COVID-19 in the Claresholm area and two recovered cases, which were previously reported.
However, officials point out the Claresholm area encompasses more than the town itself but extends from Parkland all the way south to Highway 519.
Alberta Health Services is not releasing any specific details on positive COVID-19 cases.
