LAUREEN GILLANDERS passed away suddenly after a rapid decline in health on January 29, 2020, at the Lethbridge Chinook Regional Hospital ICU, with family by her side. Many people will miss her, and she will be remembered fondly by the ones left behind.
She is survived by her sisters Judy Brausse, Lynette Gillanders and her brother Gerry Gillanders, Niece Leah (Reece, Austen, Wyatt, Emmalina); Nephew(s) Steve/Angel (Brayden, Josh); Danny (Rorie); Dennis/Nicole (Natalie, Samantha, Kayleigh, Sydney, Hunter); John/Sydney (Kelton).
Laureen was predeceased by her parents, John Gillanders (1977), Vera (Westersund) (1999) and her beloved dog Sugar (2018).
The family would like to thank the staff at Claresholm Hospital and Lethbridge ICU for their support and excellent care of Laureen. As well to extend a thank you to Laureen’s support team in Claresholm, including Alberta Health Services Home Care staff, Dr. Leishman and Dr. Kinjo.
A memorial service will be held at the Claresholm Pentecostal Assembly on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.
At Laureen’s request, a “Celebration of Life” at Gladys United Church will be held on April 18, 2020.
