It is with great sadness that the family of Franklin Brockway announce his passing at the age of 86 in the Claresholm General Hospital after battling his way through numerous health issues.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Joyce; his three children George Brockway (Joyce); Carol Brockway-Lennox (Daryl) and Tammie Stafford (Clayton); his brother, Harvey Brockway and his sister, Dorothy Wills. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Frank was predeceased by his parents Phillip and Kathleen Brockway and his brothers Russel and Charles. 
Frank’s family would like to thank the staff at the numerous hospitals of which he was a patient in both Calgary and Claresholm. They would like to extend special appreciation to the Claresholm Auxiliary Hospital where he spent most of the last year of his life. In every one of these facilities, they encountered staff who, while overworked, showed great kindness and empathy towards Frank and those who loved him.
There was a private funeral service held for Frank’s immediate family. A celebration of Frank’s life, open to his friends and extended family, will take place at a later date.
