August 5, 1932 – November 2, 2019

It is with sadness and yet great gladness the family of Roy Pachal announce his passing into the presence of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the Claresholm General Hospital.

Roy was born on the family farm near Kipling, Saskatchewan the last of ten children born to Julius and Amalia Pachal. Roy was the last remaining of his family and was predeceased by his wife Laverne in 1981.

In 1953 Roy arrived in Claresholm to begin what would become a 40 year career as a printer with the Claresholm Local Press. Roy came to love his community and was a great supporter of Claresholm. He was a longtime member of the Claresholm Pentecostal Assembly and faithfully served and loved his church family…his forever family.

Roy is survived by his wife Florence, daughter Twylla Dawn (Greg) Wyton; son Garth (Cindi); and Florence’s sons Alan and Richard (Michelle) Stevenson; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Home Going Celebration will take place Friday, November 8, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Claresholm United Church, 4803 2 Street West, Claresholm, with Rev. Greg Wyton and Rev. Joachim Chisanga officiating.
