December 29, 1928 – May 28, 2019

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa(GG) and uncle Bill. He was born in Glentworth, Saskatchewan. Born to Lilian Ovida Lovo and John Berton Payne, Bill is the last surviving child of 13 in their family. He is survived by his loving wife Anne B. (Fraess) of Claresholm, AB, daughter Cheryle (Gary) Brandner of Kelowna, BC and his son Kevin (Pat) Payne of Parkland, AB.

Bill is predeceased by his beloved daughter Patricia Ann (Allan) Maillot in 2016.

He so loved all of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was the source of many good funny stories enjoyed by his many nieces and nephews. He was always the life of any party and his funny anecdotes will be remembered by all that knew him for many years to come.

He was a funny guy that never, ever, ever exaggerated any story….. ever.

Thank you to the wonderfully caring doctor’s and nurses at the Claresholm General Hospital. Bill was well looked after.

A Private family celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a later date.
