July 16, 1944 – September 25, 2019

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Morley Copeland on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at the age of 75. 

Morley will be forever loved and remembered by his wife Jean; daughters Kim Copeland and Kristi (Adam) Kuss; grandsons Kaden and Beckham Kuss; granddogs Jax and Griffin; sister Maureen Wasend; as well as numerous family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Leo and Zada Copeland and brother-in-law Ron Wasend.

Morley defined the word loyal. He was married to Jean for 50 years, was a funeral director at Leyden’s Funeral Home for his entire 53-year career, and never quit cheering for the Calgary Flames. He loved watching his grandsons play hockey, vacationing in Mexico with Jean and the family and spending time with his granddogs.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Rockyview General Hospital, Unit 94 for all of their care and support.

Funeral Service will be held at Foothills Alliance Church (333 Edgepark Blvd NW) on Monday, September 30, 2019 at 11:30 am with visitation one hour prior to service. Graveside Service to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to AARCS (www.aarcs.ca).
