As an active person she enjoyed many activities including golf, swimming, curling, tennis and walking, but her passion was travelling, whether it was road trips thru the back roads of Alberta or British Columbia, or longer visits to Australia, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Honolulu, and Alaska.

Mom relocated to Cultus Lake, BC (2000) to be closer to family and enjoyed many years in her home gardening with Ken, swimming (daily) and doing crosswords.

She spent the last four years at Heritage Village in Chilliwack, BC. The family would like to thank the staff of Aquadel for the kindness and compassion you showed to Joyce, we loved her very much.

When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free
Miss me a little, but not too long
Miss me, but let me go

No service as per her wishes and cremation has taken place.
