Will go perfectly with chamber postcard

The Claresholm and District Chamber of Commerce will launch its own postage stamp for re-sale at a cost of just over $800.
The chamber met at Putter’s at the Bridges at Claresholm Golf Club on June 20, where they discussed the stamp program.
Director Keith Armstrong reported on the progress of the project.
A call for entries had been for elementary, junior and high school students to submit their artwork for the stamp.
Entries have been received and were on display to be voted on.
The winner will be chosen and the winner announced in a few weeks.
Armstrong asked how many stamps the chamber should purchase, citing a cost of $17.04 for a package of 12, with a minimum order of three packs.
It was suggested stamps be put on each one of the chamber’s 500 new post cards. A sheet of 25 stamps costs $34.25 per sheet.
However, it was also discussed that packs could be given to the winner of the contest, to the school and others.
In the end, it was decided to purchase at least 500 stamps as well as 20 packs of 12.
