It is with deep sorrow that the family of Julia Elizabeth Stacey announce that she has passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the age of 58 years.
Julia was born and raised in Calgary and graduated from Bishop Carroll High School, then attending S.A.I.T where she completed her designation as a Red Seal Chef. Julia loved “all creatures great and small,” especially horses, which were a life- long passion. Sports were also of great interest as she was an accomplished long-distance runner and downhill skier in her youth. Baseball, football and hockey were a great source of enjoyment from watching all the games, to collecting all the related trading cards. Although raised in Calgary, Julia preferred the country life and lived in Banff, Stavely and most recently in Cochrane, AB.
Julia will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all who knew her. She is survived by her children Elizabeth and Ethan Singleton; mother Beverley Stacey; father and stepmother Daniel and Faye Stacey; former husband Arnold Singleton; and siblings, Kelly, Daniley, Rosemarie and Sean, along with their respective families.
