May 29, 1924 – September 11, 2018

Lorraine passed away peacefully in Port Coquitlam, BC with her family by her side at the age of 94 years.

She was born to Alfred & Marie McAlister of Claresholm where she was raised, educated and worked until she met the man in her life, John Bruce, who was training to be a WWII pilot at the Claresholm airport. After a short engagement John was discharged from the RCAF and they were married on February 7, 1945. After the wedding they went to Vancouver where John was from to begin their married life. Over the years they had three daughters, Barbara, Carol and Patricia; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; who will all miss her greatly.

Lorraine had eight sisters: Eva Gibbie, Hazel Reeves, Alberta Hayes, Lucille Beatty, Vivian Coutts, Marguerite Reeves, Bernice Dodge, Irene Malchow and two brothers: Clarence and Wayne. All have now passed away except Wayne, who lives in Claresholm.

She was also predeceased by husband John in 1993.

At Lorraine’s request there were no services.

A private family graveside service was held in the Claresholm Cemetery.
