November 10, 1944 – July 26, 2024
Arden (Auntie Ardie) passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 26, 2024, at the age of 79.
Arden was a no-nonsense, mischievous lady with a heart of gold and a smile that would light up a room. She was a loyal friend who was always willing to give advice and guidance whenever anyone needed it.
Arden was born in Calgary, Alberta and spent most of her life there building her career; first with the Alberta Wheat Pool and then in the oil and gas industry as an Executive Assistant. After her retirement, she relocated to Claresholm where she was active in the community and was involved with the library for many years.
Arden was predeceased by her parents, John & Ann Dubnewick, her brother, Jack Dubnewick and her much loved cousin, Bonnie Papp.
She is survived by her nephews Jason & Michael Dubnewick of Calgary, her “niece” and God-daughter Liz Grondahl of Lethbridge, several cousins and many, many friends.
It was Arden’s wish not to have a funeral, but would rather people remember her as someone who loved her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Claresholm Public Library in her memory.
