It is with great sadness to announce the sudden passing of Carol Doreen De Vries on December 12, 2021, at the age of 67 years.
Carol was born in Lacombe, Alberta, on July 31, 1954, to Merle and Ray McKenney.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Eric Raymond De Vries; son Kenneth (Brenda); son Samuel; son Mike (Amanda); son George (Britney); as well as her four sisters and six grandchildren.
Carol spent her years enjoying life on the farm with her husband and best friend, Eric. Together they raised four boys. Carol and Eric’s life together started in Bashaw, Alberta. From there, they moved to Erskine prior to starting their life on the farm. Carol and Eric have had four farms in their years together. Carol always enjoyed raising chickens and taking care of the farm animals.
Carol De Vries will be laid to rest in her favourite blue jean dress and hat.
Her memory will stay alive on the farm.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Stavely Cemetery (also known as the Odd Fellows Cemetery – 5001 – 50th Avenue, Stavely, AB)
