Geyer Frank Reimar


It is with heavy hearts we share the passing of Frank Reimar Geyer on July 29, 2025 at the age of 78 at Claresholm General Hospital.


Frank is lovingly remembered by his wife Shirley; sons Matthew, and Kathryn, of Calgary, Mark of Claresholm, stepson Paul and Shorlet of Grand Camen Island. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren Djenaba, Emma, Abby, Stella, and Aden who brightened up his life when they visited.
Frank was born in Hamburg Germany August 3, 1946 and came to Canada in 1952 at the age of 6.
Frank married Shirley on April 10, 1982 they were married for 43 years. They lived in Kimberley, BC for 21 years, then Frankford, ON for 11 years before moving to Claresholm in December 2021.
Frank is predeceased by his parents Gunther Geyer 1994 and Margot Geyer 1991 who passed in Kimberley, BC.
Frank had a quiet strength of being the eldest of six siblings, he has three sisters: Gene Homes, Chequita Van, Carmen Kimmel and twin brothers Bill and Dean.
From a young age he took on responsibility with a calm and steady presence, helping to guide and support his family with a gentile hand. He was a soft-hearten matured man – humble, reserved, and deeply grounded. Though he spoke little, his actions spoke volumes, and when you took the time to know him found a man of quiet humour, unwavering reliability and quiet resilience.
Frank was a hard worker. He starting working with his father at a young age. He spent most of his life working in construction, as a carpenter and also marina maintenance and boat repair. Frank was very talented in other ventures through his life. Also working in a jade mining operation, and in the family owned restaurant. His hobbies in his younger years included painting, wood carvings, and helping his family. He always had a nice home to live in. He loved learning about history and geography, and always kept up with world events. He was taught at a young age to always know what is happening in the world. Frank loved antique cars, mostly the British Triumph (TR6) cars, drove MG cars and loved going to car shows. Anything to do with cars made him happy.
A Celebration of Life was held at Faith Baptist Church, Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 2:00 P.M.
