May 11, 1944 – April 20, 2018

Lorraine Elke of Claresholm, Alberta passed away on April 20, 2018 at Southwood Hospice in Calgary at the age of 73 years.  Lorraine is survived by her husband Ken; daughters Delilah(Jack), Susan(Derrick) and Sheila(Brad); sons Eugene(Rita) and Jaysen(Tracy); 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; mother Joanne Timmerman; sisters Doreen Hohmann and Nelda Solar; brother Frank(Pat) Timmerman. 

Lorraine was predeceased by her father Joseph Timmerman and brother Leo Timmerman. Lorraine was born in Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan where she spent her early childhood days.  She moved around Saskatchewan and Alberta through her life and she finally settled and retired in Claresholm Alberta and Yuma Arizona during the winters. 

Lorraine loved to golf and spend time with friends and family on the course and the 19th hole.  Her love of canning and baking was shared with those she kept dear to her heart.  Music was the one thing that made her radiate with happiness and that happiness was contagious with anyone around her.  Everyone would stop and listen as soon as Lorraine sang and played her guitar.  It was always a beautiful moment and will be greatly missed. 

Lorraine’s love of life could be seen everywhere, from her happy hours with friends and family, to the warm embrace when you first saw her, to holding a Caesar in her hand and saying “Cheers”, these are just a few among many things, we will always remember and keep dear to our hearts.  A private family memorial service was held.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to the charity of your choice.
