Doug quietly and peacefully passed away on April 3, 2018 after a long struggle with cancer. He was a respected businessman, an avid golfer, and a lover of travel. He is survived by his wife Dolores; sister Shirley; daughter Shannon (Brett); son Michael (Meredith); parents-in-law Wally and Rita; and his four adored granddaughters Emily, Julia, Ruby, and Rose. He was predeceased by his parents Victor and Barbara, brother-in-law George, and sister-in-law Carmen.
As per Doug’s wishes, a Memorial Reception will be held at SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate), on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. In honour of Doug’s memory, the dress code will be ‘Golf Casual’.
